St. Mary’s Medical Center Welcomes New CEO

The governing board at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach has appointed Paul Walker as the hospital’s chief executive officer, announced Don S. Steigman, Tenet South Florida’s senior vice president.

Walker moved to St. Mary’s Medical Center from Tenet’s Parkway Regional Medical Center in North Miami Beach, where he served as CEO for the last three-and-a-half years.

Walker believes that a hospital’s employees are its most valuable asset and he focuses on patient services, physician satisfaction, staff recruitment and retention to maintain consistent, quality care. Walker received a master’s degree from Duke University and his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
